What is SSC JE (Junior Engineer)?
SSC Junior Engineer Examination is an exam organized by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This exam is for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts.
SSC JE Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2022
SSC JE exam pattern consists of two papers. Paper-I Exam will be a computer based test, and Paper-II Exam will be an offline test. Paper-I consists of Non-Tech(General Awareness, General Science, Current Affairs & General intelligence & Reasoning) and Technical (Engineering Disciplines). Paper-II consists of Only Technical Relevant to Various Engineering Streams. Only candidates who qualify for Paper I will be allowed to appear for Paper II. Given below is the SSC JE exam pattern for both the papers:
SSC JE Exam: Paper – I
This paper will be objective type and will have three sections. The candidate has to solve 200 questions in 2 hours. The details of Paper I exam pattern are as follows:

SSC JE Exam: Paper – II
Paper-II will be of descriptive type. The questions will be purely based on the domain in which the aspirant has done his/her Degree or Diploma in Engineering. SSC JEn exam pattern of Paper II is as follows:
