RRB JE Selection Process 2022: Overview
The RRB JE Selection Process involves four stages. The 4 selection process is listed below.
- Computer Based Test I
- Computer Based Test II
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
The exam pattern for CBT 1 and CBT 2 of the computer-based test is described below. Both the stages of the exam covers various subjects. Students should retain that only by qualifying the computer-based tests only they will be invited for the document verification, the final stage in the selection process of the RRB JE recruitment.
RRB JE Selection Process 2022: CBT 1
- RRB JE 2022 Exam (CBT-I) will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The Railway Junior Engineer exam consists of four different subjects (General Intelligence, Mathematics, and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science).
- There will be a -ve marking of ⅓ for each incorrect answer.
- Only Candidates getting the minimum qualifying marks will be eligible to attend CBT II of the selection process.

RRB JE Selection Process 2022: CBT 2
- Candidates, who qualify the RRB JE CBT-I 2022 will be eligible to take CBT-II.
- CBT-II will be a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) type examination.

- Candidates qualifying for this stage (CBT 2) will be invited for the DV stage followed by the Medical Test.
- Candidate must remember that they need to score more than the cut off marks to make the place in the merit list prepared by the board.
Selection Process 2022: Document Verification
There is a complete list of documents candidates need to bring along while attending the document verification (DV) stage. A student must submit all the Mendatory documents on the day of DV with no delay.
The Mendatory documents are listed below.
- Birth Certificate
- High School/ Matriculation Examination Certificate.
- Degree or Diploma Certificate.
- Caste Certificate.
- Income certificate
- Medical certificate
- Minority declaration on nonjudicial stamp paper.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from serving employees or ex-servicemen.

RRB JE Selection Process 2022: Medical Examination
One needs to qualify a medical examination to get the appointment letter from Chief Personnel Officer of Zonal Railways. Candidates should be physically fit in all respects. Following are the specifications of the fitness criteria.
- A-3: Visual Standards-Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision & Night Vision.
- B-1: Visual Standards-Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D). Near Vision: Sn.0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision & Night Vision.
- B-2: Physically fit in all respects Visual standards-Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power not to exceed 4D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass a test for Field of Vision.
- C-1: Physically fit in all respects. Visual Standards-Distance Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.
The candidates who will be selected for their desirable posts will have to undergo a probation period/training period of two years. Selected candidates passing through the probationary period will be paid an amount of Rs 35,400 per month. questions to ask
