Physical Measurement

Sub-Inspector of Police:

• Candidates of all categories (Except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis & ST): 167 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm)), 56 Weight (in kg.), 79 cm Chest (without expansion), 84 cm Chest (with expansion – 5 cm)
• Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 160 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm)), 52 Weight (in kg.), 76 cm. (without expansion) 81 cm. (with expansion – 5 cm.)

Sub Inspectress:

• Candidates of all categories: 160 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 48 Weight (in kg.)
• Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 155 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 45 Weight (in kg.)

Sergeant:

• Candidates of all categories (Except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis & ST): 173 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm)), 60 Weight (in kg.), 86 cm Chest (without expansion), 91 cm Chest (with expansion – 5 cm)
• Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 163 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm)), 54 Weight (in kg.), 81 cm. (without expansion) 86 cm. (with expansion – 5 cm.)

Physical Efficiency Test

• Sub-Inspector (Unarmed Branch) and Sergeant in Kolkata Police: 800 metres run within 3 (three) minutes.
• Sub-Inspectress (Unarmed Branch) in Kolkata Police: 400 metres run within 2 (two) minutes.

Pay Scale 

• Pay Scale of Level – 10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 32,100 – Rs. 82,900).

Qualification

• The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
